>Typical american.... thinks he can make the rules..., you'd better come up with something better Dan.

I'm not "making rules". I'm challenging you to prove what you are demanding me to believe:

>>>>I've made a statement before up here, that is both liberal and republican is far to the right of anything accepted in other countries (including canada). Anyone who is offended by this statement should look at reality and will see it is reality. IOW, there is no (significant) left present in the US. So the statment of jews generally beeing liberal might hold ground in the US, but might not in other coutries (where liberals placed are on the far right).

How you care to prove this is your problem.

>You better shut up yourself by informing yourself better than you have in the past. You refuse to look outside your own little world. This is your choice, but don't whine when someone else who has a wider understanding of how the world works tells you otherwise.

YOU have a wider understanding of how the world works than I? That's hysterical.

>>I've done plenty of research, put up plenty of numbers for you, and you simply reject them out of hand.
>
>Eh,, come one again ??? I've never seen any number that tells me anything. All you can do is give me anedotical examples, never hard rock statistical facts that are not fabricated for one purpose. I've proven many times your research did not hold any water or whatsoever.

No, you have not. All you've ever done is dismiss out of hand every source I've ever quoted as slanted. There is no such thing as totally unbiased statistical information, and you should know this, since you have such a wide understanding of how the world works.

>>Our argument over gun control comes immediately to mind, because after debunking your flawed statistics, you simply launched into a round of insults - just as you've done again with John Harvey.
>
>Ehhh, you are never going to be able to debunk my statistics on the issue.

Not only did I do it, but Tracy did it as well. Nice try.

>>The Netherlands may have what you consider to be the furthest right government it has had in a while, but my point is that you push this "left-is-right" theory as if it applies to the whole of Europe. It doesn't.
>
>Prove that.

No, the ball is in your court.

>I base my opion on more than one or few facts. By the way. I said that the US liberals are right in our country, just as the dutch liberals are right. The US republicans are even more to the right than that. IOW, form a european perception there is no left in the US. Plain and simple.

What you said is quoted above. Don't try to change it. IF you had said that "the European perception is there is no left in the US", then we would not be having this argument. Instead, you demanded that I simply accept as reality something you aren't willing to prove.

There is a left to politics in the US. You may think it isn't as liberal as your left there - and I might even agree with you - but to out-and-out dismiss it as nonexistant is wrong.

>Small examples.
>1. Are the US liberals going to introduce affordable health insurances for everyone? I don't think so, as they have not not made any progress in the clinton years. All european countries have either public healthcare or at least affordable health care.

Are you aware of the recent Massachusetts universal coverage law?.

>2. Is gun control going to happen with the liberals in power? Very uncertain, as even the liberals are divided on that issue.

But it for sure is a plank in the Democratic party platform. How does that make them less liberal than the Europeans?

>3. What about a more equal distribution of wealth, by increasing taxes for higher incomes? I don't think so, or at the maximum very limited.

You (a) obviously don't know anything regarding tax laws here, and (b) don't seem to be paying attention to the constant back-and-forth that goes on in America regarding this issue.

>Those 3 points are regarded left political goals, goals that have been reached in most european countries.

>>In short, you've made some pretty harsh statements about America and Americans over the last several months, and I've had enough.
>
>That is your problem, don't read it, or swallow it. It is your problem you don't want to read reality. I understand it is painfull to see your dreamworld falling into pieces, but that is not my problem.

LOL! My "dreamworld?" And what would that be? How about this: that you and I can have a rational debate regarding politics without insults, without grandiose statements regarding "reality", without generalizations regarding how things are or are not in Europe or the US. I daresay that if I started making harsh statements regarding your country, you'd get pretty excited too.

>>It's fine for you to have your own opinions, but for you to project them here as God's Own Truth is tiresome.
>
>I don't believe in god, so I cannot project them as such.

It's a figure of speech. Hyperbole. IOW you make statements that we are supposed to accept as "reality" without backing up why. Like Moses coming down from on high with some stone tablets.

>>So I'm calling you out. You either prove what you've claimed on this one topic, or be dismissed as the troll you seem to be.
>
>See list above. You'd better do some research about other countries of the world as I'm not planning to teach you world politics. As my mentor said, I can answer all your questions, but learning and understand, you'll have to do yourself.

Since you posted some links in your other reply, I'll take the time to read them. And FYI, I have already done plenty of research regarding European politics. So far, nothing I've read convinces me that left-is-right over there.
