I think the http://www.cam.com/vxipconfig.html one will actually let you put in an IP address, so if you gave the handheld a static IP adderss, you could maybe find if the wifi on it even works.

yes, if you do a hard reset that will put everything back to the way it was shipped (unless you've done some hacks to the extended ROM or any crazy stuff like that..)
