Oh yes, you must be careful not to use the monitor until the switch is reclaimed! I have seen equipment with a similar button marked On, but since they lack the corresponding Off button, I have steared way from them. And the first think I do when I install WinXP on a machine, is to create the obviously missing Stop button. I think it strange that MSFT has not fixed this bug yet.
