I followed your advice and modified my control to use the mmToolStrip and mmToolStripButtons. Unfortunately I still receive the same "serialization" error message EXCEPT instead of saying "mmToolBarButton is not serializable", it now says "mmToolStripButton is not serializable".

I also tried modifing my control to just use regular ToolStripButtons rather than the mmToolStripButtons and I get the same error message with ToolStripButton not serializable.

These errors happen in the designer when I am dropping my control onto the form.

I am basically just subclassing the mmToolStripNavigationControl and adding additional buttons to it. I can use the mmToolStripNavigationControl just fine.

Any feedback or advice that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. The control works fine in VS2003.
