Hey, cool. You know of political compass! I like the extra added dimension rather than the simplistic either/or spectrum we usually measure by. FWIW, I'm next to Mandela, Gandhi & Bartok. Interestingly, I remember that during the USA's 2004 campaign season they'd posted the coordinates for Bush & Kerry: they were in the *same* neighborhood so to speak, and not more that a block or two apart either! We, of course, only heard of the (greatly amplified) differences from the campaigns.
>I answered that I agree with that one because while rehabilitation is the goal, it has been demonstrated that in some cases, it is not even possible.
Yeah, I had to give that one some thought myself and concluded/decided that even if not possible, it may prove to be 'worth' it because what we can learn of this means we could nuance our understanding/treatment of psychopathology vs. merely criminality. And still, the primary purpose for criminal justice (i.e protection of people) is met.
Anyway, cool that you know of political compass. I've been a fan for a few years now and, again I like the added dimension. I'd like to see a third dimension added for the socio-economic. I feel socio-economic ("class") is by far the largest differential among us nowadays. Second is probably level of education.
