I have a VFP app rumming on a machine that reacts to data being writen to a table from another VFP app.

An example:
One process is creating a single viewable file from multiple AutoCad files so those who don't have AutoCad can view the file.

My question is can somthing like this be done without an app running, say a class or some other method? I would like to not have to depend on the app being started and restart it if it fails.

I need it to run outdside the user app instance, not tying up their machine while the process runs.
