The NAFTA treaty was supposed to make Mexico and Canada richer - which didn't quite happen in case of Mexico. Thousands of peasants were forced off their land, in many ways, just because of the ways this worked.

Probably the best thing Mexican government can do is to invent a time machine and not sign it this time.
