>These movies were so bad that they bring a new level to word "sucked." I honestly don't know the last time I saw ones as bad as these. To put it into perspective, Catherine Bell was by far the best actress out of all of them. I would have been highly disappointed had I seen these late on a Friday night on network TV, but no; I actually rented them, so I guess the joke's on me. I wanted to go take a shower when they were done just to make sure none of the stink got on me.

I have slso had the impulse to take a shower after seeing Catherine Bell ;-)

The last good movie I have seen is "United 93." Some say it's too soon, too disturbing. I disagree. The events of that day unfold in what seems like real time. There is no phony-baloney contrived drama. Nothing needed to be added to this story; just show it. It gave me the creeps watching the passengers and crew board the plane. Just regular people boarding a regular flight, an airplane flight like we've all been on, and you know every one of them is going to die. It is dramatic but not melodramatic. The first don't-miss movie of 2006 IMO.

I saw it on Sunday with my daughters and the audience coming out was as somber as any I have seen since "Saving Private Ryan". I drove the girls back to their mom's house not long afterwards and "United 93" and 9/11 were the topics of discussion most of the way. It wasn't me preaching, either. They had tons of questions and comments. They were much younger when it happened and this was probably their first visceral response to it.
