Thanks.. didn't actually find that many hits on XMLNameIsXpath, but enough to give me an idea of how to approach it..
Right now I'm waiting for another sample from the client using what may be a simpler schema alternative.. which hopefully will load directly into xmladapter.

Is there an article somewhere that discusses using xmlNameIsXpath in situations such as this?
