addendum to Ed Pikman's reply...

If you do change the relative pathing (i.e, the names of the sub folders), modify the project, when you rebuild the project, check the recompile all box. When prompted that something can not be found, click the LOCATE button and select the appropriate file from the new sub folders.

I had to do this just this week, and it works fine. May take a little time depending on how many files have to be re-located.
