This isnt the answer but it may be worth thinking about. This article seems to imply that certain applications, or type of application, will stop Outlook closing correctly.

>Thanks for your help mate, I will keep looking as well. As I say this has only happened since I upgraded outlook from 97 to 2000. I suppose I could clear down all instances when ive finished with the scheduled mailer program but I consider this as bad practice.
