I don't know, Tamar. In my experience far eastern manufacturers of almost anything will take some obscure English phrase and slap it on the product. Thus you might get a child's T-shirt with any rubbish, such as "Floppy Pavement" printed on it. I think they think their asian customers will think it's cool with English writing.

I've seen just as risable entries on the English versions of menus in posh sefood restaurants in St Malo, a French ferry port and town frequented by thousands of Brits every year. Yet their translations are pathetic and I've thought, "Couldn't they just have asked one of the many francophonic tourists, or put an ad in the paper for any ex-pats, to come and translate for them".

I couldn't think of any examples but there are many, in many rest's. SOmething even as simple as:

"Les douzaine huitres ..." -> "The dozen oysters"
