First, listeners require additional code or an outside package so I do not think that is a straight up comparison.

Foxfire can:
1) Output to pdf
2) send to e-mail
3) burst transmit to e-mail (send each grouping to a different e-mail address using an e-mail address in the database)
4) allow you to pre-define fields that are not in the database
5) Give end users the ability to generate their own reports without needing to know VFP

The following I am not sure of
a) cross-tab reports
b) pivot tables

I am sure there are probably other features that I have missed but these come to the top of my head.

>>Foxfire! is much more than a wrapper around the VFP report writer. There are features in the VFP report writer (such as multiple detail bands) which are not yet implemented in Foxfire!, But, at the same time, there are features in Foxfire! that are not available in the VFP report writer.
>>In addition, with Foxfire! end users can create their own reports without having to depend on a programmer.
>>I also find that as a programmer, I can write and deploy a report with Foxfire! faster than I can do the same report in VFP and incorporate it into my software.
>>The May 2006 issue of UT Magazine has an article I wrote about Foxfire!
