Please pass on my appreciation to your nephew.

One thing I have never gotten about this quagmire in Iraq is the bumper stickers on half the cars on the road -- "Support Our Troops." We all support the troops, don't we? Does anyone not? They are heroes and are regarded as such by almost all of us, it seems to me. No bumper stickers needed. What some of us object to is the completely idiotic way we were led into Iraq and that we are still there for the foreseeable future. Countless lives have been lost through pure idiocy, Iraqi lives as well as American soldiers.

Have you seen "Jarhead"? What a great view of war from the grunt's POV.
