This is about only thing where I could (partially) agree with you.
Saddam was another dangerous idiot in power, molesting it's own country
and him being gone is about only good thing that actually happened.
All the rest is complete disaster.

Was he or is he the only one ? Should/Why now US/UK does not start intervening in poor Africa by toppling regimes left & right who are not any better then Saddam ? (eg. Ruanda story) What is the criteria which idiot and when is supposed to be removed? (See General's statement). Yes, meny countries succumbed to US preassure and *agreed* with this move, but was it realy legal & just thing to do ?

What & Way it was done was completely wrong, and destabilised entire region. Entire World has changed in meny ways - for much worse!

If there was to be any military intervention, then it MUST hv been unanimous
UN/World Security Council decision and done under no other but - UN uniform.
NATO/Russia/others could be major military power providers, but it had to be done under UN umbrella with ww aproved/accepted legal framework - or not done at all.
History could hv been made, with UN crossing peace keeping line for the first time - and actually punishing/ousting sick/killer regime.

Instead of that, we witnessed midle-east being raided left and right by US lead army in a clear military assault, bringing credibility to US foreign politics just as cheap Hollywood production (cross between Vietnam movie & Spaghetti western) wld bring to a well known movie producer.

Instead of making history, you made enemies forever and allover the world, acomplishing in return close to nothing! What you got is; dead bodies, state driven parannoya of epic proportions, cheap/efficient propaganda, now/future burdain on economy & tax payers and degradation of all ideas/values that world has ever praised you for.

I wld not care much, if that was just Virtual reality program you hv created & choosen for yourselves (called 'Warr on terrorism') , but it is affecting badly entire world.

Mission was however accomplished in full - for designers/creators of all this mess. I dare to believe all this was created & implemented having nothing else but profit in mind. (Nah... it wld be branded as cheap delussional conspiracy theory right ? )
