I am having a strange quirk when I am using SQL Enterprise Manager on my workstation.

What I want to do is view rows in a table and manually edit them. The problem is that longer values are not displayed, despite being populated. The column is of type varchar(2500). If I log onto our network using the same account on another terminal and run SQL Enterprise Manager, I can view them.

I have been editing them by pulling them in C# code in VS.NET, copying them out of the watch window, and pasting them into an update statement in Query Analyzer, which is inefficient.

I couldn't find a preference or option setting that seemed to control this, but since it is limited to my workstation, it must be bad bits in my black box.

How can I change this display behavior?
