I am not sure. There does appear to be a version for VFP 8. I am working with a version of the framework (version 6 I believe) with VFP 7, and am also working with their .NET version.

The VFP version I use let's me work with SQL Server through remote views. I believe (I can't be sure of this) that it's somewhat easy with the framework to switch between different backends (VFP, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.) on the fly. I am sure that it definitely helps you build n-tier applications (specifically, 3-tier).
