I just finally stepped through it slowly (to enjoy it). It is absolutely beautiful. I drove over the Bridge of the Americas weekly for awhile and it was a pleasure (if somewhat scary). Not as scary as driving over Gatun Locks on the way to Colon though! Coming back from David we used to stop at the dam and take pictures which is a nice spot as well. What is Ft Amador called now? It was beautiful all the way to I spent a year at Fort Davis although I was probably only actually on Fort Davis for a couple of months tops. I loved Fort San Lorenzo, Chiriqui, Baraka Beach, Balboa yacht club, the coast off of Rio Hato, and Penonome. I heard Fort Davis is now a resort. That makes me giggle... I think the absolutely most beautiful place is actually Fort Sherman. Jungle with beautiful coral reefs. Now if only there weren't those pesky barracudas and snakes... :o)
