In all encryption algorithms I am using, such as Des, Rc2, Rijndael and TripleDes, I always end up with all kinds of characters in the encrypted string. That I need to control. Have you looked at the server doing the work for you if using SQL2005? 2000 your kind of screwed in the roll or buy your own.
