What other applications do you suggest I check. I've tried Word/Excel and they seem to work fine, but they're not using the std. common dialog.

>>Sorry, I've been out of the country for a couple of weeks. But I do have more info on this phenomonon. It appears as if it only occurs when I'm working with a SQL Database and Views. I.e., if I open a regular Visual Foxpro database, no problem. But as soon as I open a SQL Database using both Views and SQL Passthrough, all of a sudden the GETFILE() function starts acting up.
