I recently posted the exact same question. I believe this can be done using a custom report listener but I haven't had time to dig any deeper than this.

Or, perhaps Bo Durban's Moxie Objects (www.moxiedata.com) might be used to accomplish your goal? MoxieObjects allow you to include HTML and RTF in your reports so you could, in theory, generate an HTML page that stretches your images and then use MoxieObjects to print this HTML page.
