Just to add to what Thomas has said, we've been running a web service based on wwSoap on WS2003 for some while with no problems. But, we cook our own security stuff.

We've made a web service that works very well when deployed using the wizards in VFP9 on my developer box and were starting to get excited about the possibilities until we hit a minefield trying to deploy this into a production environment.
