After entering to append mode you should enter some data and automatically a new record appends (with same key at first but when you move to it key replaces with the correct one). Instead of append mode a grid with AllowAddNew = .t. might be what you want.

Hi, I'm back. :)

I don't use append mode in the actual application. I use it as a back door when I need to do some modifying in a user's table and there's no grid set up for it. Well, if I can't figure it out, I'll just have to do without it.
