Just answered in my other post in this thread ... wrap TYPE with SET CONSOLE OFF.

No idea :(

Another idea: Why not create a simple VFP report that sets landscape orientation and that contains a single stretched text field. Load your text file contents into a one record/one memo field cursor used as the source table for your report.

Added benefits to above technique:
- your own custom headers and footers (page numbers!)
- control over font name and style by hacking your FRX
- print preview option
- PDF option if using XFRX or other 3rd party report tools
