For one thing, there are some incompatibilities with how SQL SELECT responds and populates _TALLY when no data are found that match the filter criteria, especially when you have group functions like SUM(), MAX(), and COUNT() in the SELECT statement. You can SET ENGINEBEHAVIOR 80 but it would be better to modify your code to accommodate the new behavior. I suppose MS made these changes to bring VFP closer to compliance with ANSI standards.
