Anybody ever got a "String is too long" error when trying to display a long memo field on a report?
If we cut the memo down to 254 characters it works, taking it up to 256 it gives this error.
If we create a new report with the Report Wizard the full memo is displayed properly. We can't see anything strange about the field on the report to display the memo.

At what point do you get the error? When you run the report, or when you edit the field/expression control?

If you see the error when you modify the field/expression, are you able to successfully modify the attributes of the control when _REPORTBUILDER=""? In other words, is this error only occurring in the ReportBuilder application?

Are you able to describe here a series of steps that allows you to reproduce this situation from scratch?
