>>>I don't know what tells that film but muslims believe in jesus too. :)

>>Really? I don't know much about Islam but didn't know Allah was supposed to have lived on earth in human form or died for anyone's sins. And Mohammed was a prophet, not a deity, no?

>The statement that "Muslims believe in Jesus" doesn't imply that they believe the very same things as Christians. Come to think of it, not all Christians agree about their beliefs - there are wide discrepancies between Catholicism and Protestantism, for instance - so it isn't too surprising that there are discrepancies between Christianity and Islam.

>For instance, Muslims in general reject the claim that Jesus was God - but so do many Christians.

>Although I am not a Muslim myself, I think that, according to their belief, both Christ and Muhammad are prophets - Muhammad is simply the latest prophet, according to their belief. (But not according to Bahá'í belief - we believe that God sent other prophets more recently, although we don't usually call them "prophets".)
I do have some familiarity with Christian beliefs, having been raised as such, and have never heard Christ described as a prophet. A prophet is a messenger. Perhaps divinely appointed, but only a messenger nonetheless. Christ was (allegedly) either the son of God or God himself in a different form, depending on your brand of Christianity. At least that's my understanding.
I hope Metin clarifies what he meant about Muslims believing in Jesus too.
