Yes, I was trying to compare speed of three code fragments, but I managed to make two of them not working at all. Your code works, it displayes Adobe blank window for few seconds (I guess this is unavoidable) and takes 6 seconds in total, which is not bad.

I'm wondering today, should I try Dragan's pointer. AFAIK, the current code should work as is with other PDF Reader.
