Yes, I did read the article. I noticed that the author pointed out that employers, not just in the construction industry, knowingly hire illegal workers. This seems to directly contradict your previous statement about Canadians. Does it not?

While it certainly could be true that Republicans are using this issue to distract from all the other problems, there are few who act as if the issue doesn't exist. The debate about it has been going on for a long time.
