Hey, Einar....

If you're using typed datasets (and I believe you said you are), and if you're using VS2005....I have a method where you can pass an instance of a typed DataSet to a method that does the "fill".

It utilizes .NET generics - I demonstrated it in Montreal at DevTeach last week. If you're interested, I can post it. Let me know.
