Yep, this is the problem.
It seems to be the Compile error dialog (as opposed to any progress counter) because I only get the crash when there is a compile error.

However, we may have a solution. Tracy P has pointed us on a path which seems to be working. We'll be testing over the weekend and post a new version on the site in a few days time.
