If you prefer to use SDI form, set ShowWindow property of the form to 2-As-top-level, then at INIT event issue:
DO mymainmenu.mpr WITH THIS
Your main.prg then will be like this:
DO FORM mymainform  && SDI form set to 2-as top level.
