I guess one question I haven't asked yet is, is there another general purpose Open Dialog out there that I could call, that doesn't rely on the Windows common dialog? I know that sounds like the wrong direction, but I have no idea why I'm getting the funky one. And it only seems to show up when my application is using an SQL database vs. a Visual FoxPro database (I support both types in MarketWare). So its the exact same code calling the GETFILE() function, just a different type if database that's currently open, and all I'm doing is prompting the user for a form letter or report file, etc.

>>>What other applications do you suggest I check. I've tried Word/Excel and they seem to work fine, but they're not using the std. common dialog.
