Hi,
This was an old problem. Best way to overcome the problem is to use SUBST instead of map a drive i.e. SUBST g: c:\yourapp
Has been fixed in 2003 and possibly 2000 sp4, unable to check as all our clients have upgraded to 2003.

The original work around was to open the app at startup using a system user account, which never logged out, unless the server was rebooted.
