When you start up an XP box that is attached to a Novell network, you still log in initially using a Windows logon/account. If you then need access to Novell resources, the client software for Novell on the XP box needs to be configured to allow that.

This used to be accomplished by setting up a login script that gets run when the workstation logs into the Novell server or network (potentially using different credentials from those used to log on to the workstation in Windows). This script maps drive letters to network shares, sets up access to Novell print queues etc.

Bottom line - if there are Windows XP machines on the network that are currently accessing Novell resources, you just have to set up an appropriate account on the XP Web server machine in a similar fashion. Your Novell admin should be able to help you do this.
