**** SPOILERS ****

Career killer? A prominent role in a beloved show that is watched by 10 million or so people a week?

We all knew where it was headed -- Vito was going to get whacked. The only question was by which family. Tony acknowledged as much after they got the news, saying it had worked out the way it would have anyway.

Sil, the loyal consigliere, had to point out the blindingly obvious to Tony: uh, it's not just about Vito, it's also about Phil taking out one of your captains without sanction. I think it's pretty clear where this is headed from here on out: the long awaited showdown between the NY and NJ families. The only part that surprises me is it's hothead Phil and not the more businesslike Johnny Sack heading up the NY crew.

FWIW a guy on the Sopranos board, a real life NJ judge who goes by the handle Johnny The Gavel, said he met the actor who plays Johnny Sack under unfortunate circumstances. Both their fathers were in the hospital for major surgery and JTG went up to the actor, Vincent Curatola, and said how much he enjoys the show. He said Vincent was the nicest guy you could ever want to meet, gracious in the old style. He's not a jerk, he just plays one on TV.

>What about the guy that plays Vito. Talk about a career killer...get whacked in two shows in the same season.

>>Heck I thought the last two shows were acutally better. Hey at least someone got wacked - two guys got it this week!
>>Personally - I'd like to see the show last a few more years, see the twerp son screw up a bunch of 'family business' - then have cute innocent little Meadow finish law school and become the 'family' lawyer and straigten it all out. And oh yes she needs to have her husband wacked too.
