Perry,

>There are articles coming out now describing how hardcore Repub conservatives are deserting the ship because they don't agree with Bush's policies. How they agreed with the war to support a repub president. Pollsters say these type of people loosing trust is why Bush's numbers have started to fall much further in the last couple weeks.

That's what your liberal buddies want you to believe about Republicans and support for the President. The actual fact about Bush's poll numbers among conservatives are probably much more about his percieved softness about border enforcement and his push for an amnesty-like plan. Most conservatives are trying to tell him through the polls that he needs to seal the borders and enforce immigration laws first before talking about citizenship for illegals.

Dream all you want about the war, but a President who stands firm on national security will trump weak-kneed liberals who are hoping for an Iraq civil war to prove their points. Fact is, the government there is being established and Iraqis are increasingly taking over security operations throughout the country, and our role will eventually dimish -- just as President Bush has said all along. But of course, you and your friends seem to be grasping for any negative spin that you can put on the new government -- don't have permanent Defense and Security ministers yet, just a matter of time before civil war, violence continues, etc, etc, etc...

I said in a post here before the December elections that an Iraqi democracy would eventually come out of this, and it's happening in spite of liberals' hopes of its failure. No matter. You're going to continue attacking the President anyway, in spite of any positive news or progress, so I'll not waste any more words here.

I just thought you'd like to know how sickly humorous you liberals all look, falling all over yourselves to make lemons out of lemonade. I'm done posting on this for another several months -- let's check on progress in Iraq again just before the November elections and see what the latest liberal attack line is then. :-)
