No. My full name in Russian is Nadezhda, which means hope. Naomi is my Jewish name, which roughly translated means pretty. In other words, these two names are absolutely unrelated. In fact, when I try to introduce myself to Russian-speaking person using my Hebrew name, there is a lot of misunderstanding. So I usually add, that you can call me "Nadya" <g>
