The one part of the mountain views I don't miss at all was when I would spend the night at a buddies house. He lived in Evergreen, right up the street from a really cool mountain bar. Even though they were in the middle of nowhere they got great bands, the Littlebear. I don't even know if it still exists.

Anyways, driving to work in the morning from Evergreen, there was a hill, that once you got to the summit, you could see the brown cloud hovering over Denver. It was an ugly picture.

I do and don't miss the views. I remember when I was first thinking about moving here, a bunch of people said that I would miss the change of seasons. Well, I can attest, after 15 yrs here in LA, that when I go to a cold place, maybe 20-30, but well within temps I used to have no probs with, I now freeze my a*s off.

Even the slightest bit of bad weather here, and it can ruin the day.

>I had two long consulting gigs in Denver, which remains my favorite city in the world with the possible exceptions of London and Auckland. The second time around I lived near John Elway's Jeep dealership and went by it almost every day on my morning runs. I always thought it was like a license to print money, a John Elway Jeep dealership in Denver.

>Do you still miss the mountain views? I do. L.A. has mountain views as well but they're not the same at all.

>>It's been that way in every city I've lived. I used to live in Denver, back in the John Elway age. One of the Denver newspapers had a report on the type of halloween candy being handed out at his house one year.

>>>Why don't they just call it "the stalkers weekly"...geeeze.

>>>>I live in Los Angeles. The entertainment section of our newspaper always has little stories like this. LA Weekly, a free handout on Thursday has a column every week to identify were the current celeb hangouts are.

>>>>>>I think a lot of guys who play not so nice characters have problems outside of their acting work. I read that the black guy who was president in 24 and the current president are good buds. When they are spotted on the golf course together, people swarm the black guy with congratulations. They give the other guy evil looks.
