>If it hasn't started already, wait till she starts using her cellphone to text messages. You'll love seeing her at the breakfast table hunched over the phone clicking away sending hieroglyphic msg aftr msg 2 hr frnz. One of the defining sights of modern youth is a gaggle of youngsters all hunched over phones, silent except for the muted clickity-click of rapid keypad presses. And they are all sending texts to people standing about 2 feet away! I'd have to say, I've hardly seen that in the US, probably because the massive $ differential between a voice call and a txt never existed, but I saw 2 girls doing it on Sunday. In the midwest. So it's here. Be afraid!

That's not exactly a new phenomenon. I can remember sharing a hotel room during conferences and sending emails back and forth with my roommate. And passing the RJ-11 cable back and forth across the desk to do it! <g>
