You're trying to PUSH your help on people and natural reaction in such case is to push back. I used to be this way until one vary smart lady ( my former boss) explain to me that it not only doesn't work but hurts the releations with other people. I bet if you came to your co-worker and asked what he thinks about doing it this or that way, the result would be quite different.
