Funny/Sad in the same time but you are actually right on this...
After loosing Yugoslavia back in 90ies, finally we all got state that we can emotionaly connect to. Serbia/Montenegro despite deep ties between Serbs and MontenegroSerbs was hybrid state that nobody really cared about.
So this is actually little win/win rather then loss of the country as it happened before.

Now.... If S&M beats Argentina/Netherlands that will be some WIN/WIN :))
I think they will let them play together.
