As a courtesy I didn't want to leave you hanging, So I thought I should let you know that I have resolved the issue. The short of it is, if you try to replace records in a table column which has an order set to it, fox pro apparently will take the record which the replace was condcted upon and re-order it in the table moving the record pointer with it. So I made sure I store the appropriate record to goto in a variable and after the replace and the record pointer change I then move to the stored record number which is the next in the sequence/order and replace that field value until I end up at EOF(), I wrapped my method in a Do While Loop and acheived the desired results. I do thank you for the input even if it didn't quite apply to my situation..
