I'm using the Tool strip now. I've run across a problem (posted under Setting Active Form) when I have a form with a Nav tool strip open another (child) form with a Nav tool strip. The child changes the record in the parent. Quite odd, but I don't think it's related to the tool strip itself.

I just made a user control, dropped the nav Tool Strip in and added the buttons I needed for the other functions. Aside from a few challenges on getting some information from the parent (so I didn't have to keep telling the nav control what was going on) it went pretty smooth.
