>Add my vote to the Views brigade. As part of the learning curve you need to know that the Visual View Designer in VFP5 is very limited , learn about doing Views in Code and along the way look at Cursorsetprop in Help and follow the see also links. When you are comfortable with all that you will be on your way to SQLServer and all that entails.
Well, I just got back from a VFP class, and from what I learned there, views aren't what I want in this situation. The instructor showed us how to set the relationships of the tables in the data environment and that'll do just what I need to do without getting into updatable views.
For reports, though, views are definitely the way to go.
I don't plan on getting into SQLServer any time soon, so I don't need to worry about all that entails. :)
