One of the computers in my LAN, which served up foxpro tables, crashed so I bought a new one. The old computer had windows 2000 prof. The new computer has XP pro. There lies the rub.

I had some foxpro tables on the old computer. They were in a directory that I created a share to. My asp.net application, runiing on a seprerate box, had access to the tables via vfpoledb and impersonation (I run the asp.net app, on the web server, under the same impersonated user account that is on the data server). I installed the data tables on the replacement computer after creating the same directory and share name. I created the impersonated user account on the replacement computer. I gave the impersonated user full control of the directory where the data tables are (just as it was on the windows 2000 box). When I attempt to hit the data tables via the asp.net app I get an error that I did not get when windows 2000 pro was serving up the tables:

Cannot create temporary files....

Are these temp files created on the web server or the computer serving the data tables?
Any thoughts? What could be the differences between windows 2000 pro and windows XP pro perms?
