Title:
The Price of Gasoline and Memorial Day
The media has spent a bit of time warning us that the price of gasoline would be higher as Memorial Day approached. This prediction has been made and found to be true for a number of years. This year seems to be an exception at least at my local gasoline stations.
The price of regular gasoline per gallon at Arco in the San Jose area.
May 18, 2006 - $3.23
May 19, 2006 - $3.21
May 26, 2006 - $3.19
We just got back from Los Angeles where Arco gasoline was $3.59 a gallon. Until recently (five years) the price of gasoline in Los Angeles was less than the San Francisco Bay Area. On Interstate 5 it was even higher.
