not sure what category this should go in so thought that we could chat about it in here:) I have a customer who has a web site hosted with a service provider. now they want to have that site modified slightly so that it links into a system that we developed for them. they cannot host the site themselves so the main part still has to reside on the hosting site. i am going to have a page that uses frames so that one side of the frame comes from the hosted server and the other from their server. the site has a static ip address but not a web address. in the frames page if i have

src="http://www.mysite.com/index.htm"

everything is fine but if i have

src="http://123.123.123.123/index.htm"

it does not work and i have to use the ip address to link into their local webserver. make sence? any help much appreciated
