Hey, Mike....
I changed my trailer about a month ago. I own *almost* every piece of Charlie Parker music that's been put on CD.
Savoy sessions are awesome.
I rarely listen to rock when I'm working (except if it's instrumental-only). I find any kind of singing distracting.
I'm not familiar with Twenty Twenty - I'll have to check it out.
Here are my CDs when working...basically anything by:
Charlie Parker
Pat Metheny
Wes Montgomery
Lester Young
Sonny Stitt
John Coltrane
Dave Matthews (my one exception to lyrics....if I need to get myself pumped, DMB helps)
Lee Morgan
Sonny Stitt
Miles Davis (Kind of Blue)
Cannonball Adderly
Woodie Shaw
Wayne Shorter
Herbie Hancock
Yellowjackets
I've tried to work with the Chili Peppers playing, but I find myself signing along.
Occasionally I'll play Franz Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Grieg....they're the only classical I really like.
Country is like fingernails on a chalkboard (my apologies to those who like country)
