I am able to see the content placeholder when I first edit the master.

I have not been able to find anything on the tool menu that adds a content place holder. I tried going into my new form and adding the following code under the line that has "Page Language="C#".

asp:Content ID = "Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID = "ContentPlaceHolder1" runat = server

When I do that, I get the error message "Could not find "ContentPlaceHolder1" in the current master page or pages.

I then tried to add that code to the MasterPageMain after the line that has "Master Language = C#" and got 2 errors:
1) Unrecognized tag prefix or device filter 'asp'
2) Only content controls are allowed directly in a content page that contains content controls.

I tried moving the line of code into the body section and into the form section and still got errors.

I followed all the steps in the Jump Start directions (many times) and cannot ever get it to come out as described. What am I doing wrong?
